We are a small UK charity working in one of the poorest areas of Kenya. We believe that education is the best ways of improving the life chances of girls and helping them and their families out of poverty.
In recent years the cost of secondary education has gone up to the extent that few families can afford the fees. TMET is there to enable at least some of the poorest to go to secondary school. The more money we raise the more bursaries we can give.

Make a donation
Every pound helps and you can be assured that the whole of your donation will go to Kenya and be spent on the charity’s objectives.
Organise a Fund Raiser
Can you raise funds for TMET by organising a fund raising event? Perhaps a sponsored challenge, a coffee morning, a concert, or sale of work?

Sponsor a girl’s education
At present Government supported boarding school fees are 53554Ksh per annum, approximately £400 at current rates of exchange. We provide bursaries of 32,000Ksh towards this cost. Students spend four years in secondary boarding schools in this rural part of Kenya.

Help a University student
University students can take out Government loans to help with the fees and their maintenance costs but these don’t get paid until the end of their first year of study. University again involves four years of study. Where a student’s need is great, we try to help them with a bursary of 30,000Ksh to cover some of the costs of their first year of study.
